Vail Full Moon Skin
As the sun begins to set later each night, get ready for long bluebird days in the backcountry, capped off with incredible sunsets. This season our Vail location will host a Full moon skin once a month, starting on January 2nd. To kick off the New Year, we will meet at Cripple Creek Backcountry in Lionshead at 6pm.
Fun is the main priority for this event!
Moonrise over The Gore Range
On January 2nd, come help us welcome the new year with a group uphill skin to the top of Vail. We will depart from our Lionshead shop just after 6 PM, if you will need demo gear please show up early to get your setup dialed in. We will stick to the Lionshead designated uphill route, Simba run.
Full Moon Event Schedule
January 2, February 1, March 1, April 1!
If you have always wanted to try out skinning up a mountain this is the night to do it! With the fading alpenglow as we climb and being rewarded with the rising Moon at the top of Vail, there is no doubt this will be an evening to remember.
Setting a Fresh Skin Track
Headlamps are highly suggested but we have had skinners use the moonlight to get down. Come by the shop afterwards for a cold beer!
Invite your friends and RVSP on Facebook! We will see you on Tuesday, January 2nd.
