Women now have a lighter weight option with the all time versatility of the Wailer 99 shape.
The Nina has always been an amazingly versatile shape—particularly for smaller or lighter women. At 99mm underfoot, the tapered footprint combined with an aggressive rocker profile provides enough lift to ski in the backcountry deep. The camber underfoot, aggressive sidecut, and coming less than 100mm underfoot allow for grip and response on firmer snow as well.
The Tour1 layup on the Nina 99 is one of the DPS Dreamtime-exclusive Powderworks offerings this year that we are most excited about. Weighing only 1,225 grams in a 168cm, the Powderworks Tour1 Nina 99 is super light and polite on the uphill, considering how well it rips down. The torsional stiffness and pop that DPS is known for is maintained by using the same aerospace carbon, just in lower quantities. The Cap construction keeps the Tour1 Nina light and quick edge to edge. The same ultra-durable polyamide top sheet, world cup bases, and Rockwell steel edges maintain that DPS toughness when you need it most in the rocks and unknown of the backcountry.
This is a great do it all option for women who want to spend the majority of their ski time in the beauty and peace of the backcountry, while still being able to ski aggressively.
