DPS made a very small batch of the Powderworks line, designed with the sole purpose of a custom feel that differs from the rest of the DPS line. With a special dampening materials to allow for a more sustained turn. Along with new material, the Cassiar 87 brings a new flex pattern that differs from the Tour1 version.
DPS designed this ski with an idea that you can have that custom feel of a ski in a friendly and original build. DPS used the same ideas and flex patterns as the Lotus 124 and Wailer 112 to provide a solid and responsive turn. while The Powderworks version uses a tapered tip, it still retained a traditional forebody and sidecut to allow for precise edging on those packed out slopes. it will start your turn off strong and create a smooth zero chatter feel while carving tight and fast.
This is truly an original you can not get anywhere else. DPS still works on special releases for their quivers to be able to nab an alchemist carbon construction in a Cassiar 87 is a once in a lifetime design.
