The widest ski in the Cassiar family, the DPS Alchemist 94 takes the frontside-focused platform and tweaks it just enough to be a one-ski-wonder for all but the iciest conditions. Still sporting a more traditional flat tail and camber, this ski snaps in and out of turns whether on fresh corduroy, bumps, or tree runs. The 94mm underfoot paired with a broad shovel and tip rocker will show its playfulness on powder days, crud, or late-spring corn. This construction is also very much light enough to be mounted up with a tech binding and taken on those mid-winter hut trips or spring peak-bagging missions.
The Alchemist construction combines a industry-leading prepreg carbon layup with newly added dampening materials in just the right places to make these skis snappy in the turns yet able to swallow up mixed snow and funky terrain features. Then, as you lay the ski into the turn, the rounded flex pattern will hold a beautiful edge. The progressive stiffness of the tail will help you exit and initiate your next turn like never before!
At only 1545g (171cm) this is an fantastic crossover ski when mounted with a touring binding, allowing for a dampened, solid-feeling ski as you do those T2B gondy laps, then take them out on your spring hut trip and see how they become your new favorite ski mountaineering tool!
