Sure, we all pretend that style and graphics don't matter, but c'mon, you know it gets you in there somewhere. The Wailer 112 has been a classic for awhile now, and the plain yellow shred sticks can be seen everywhere. This year's special edition sport a rad progressive honeycomb style on the tip and a blue wailer lion on the tail. Wait, you really don't care about style? Read on about performance...
The shape of these yellow machines is now legendary. This ultra-versatile, do-it-all ski for the North American west simply makes a skier better. From backcountry stashes, to all day on the resort, the Wailer 112 gets 'er done. At 112 under foot with tip and tail rocker, these will handle the deepest days with as much wide open speed or tight tree turning agility as you need. The Wailer 112 Alchemist also has a progressive sidecut, camber under foot, and torsional rigidity to conquer backcountry windboard, spring corn, or resort groomers
The Wailer 112 Alchemist also builds on this legend with a new carbon layup and flex pattern to improve performance in variable snow conditions. The carbon sandwich that improves pop and longevity of the ski, without adding weight, is now vibration tuned for more dampening in variable snow conditions. The flex is improved with the new Chassis design in which the the shape is altered in the middle of the ski to give you a better flex around the boot. This is visible with a raised mounting area for solid screw hold, with the remaining body of the ski being slightly thinner. The combination of these two improvements make the Alchemist skis ride much smoother and more forgiving when conditions change quickly mid line.
Made in the USA and designed by freeride skiers, it's no surprise that these skis have stood the test of time and improved with every new rendition. The Alchemist upgrade marks another big step in this classic. Mount 'em up and be ready to be impressed!
