The most award winning shape in the DPS lineup gets an upgrade with the Alchemist construction. The Yvette and Wailer 112 have been lauded for their combination ease and power depending on the shape of the turn, snow and terrain. This is achieved with generous amounts of rocker tip and tail for playfulness in deeper snow. The 112 also has an aggressive sidecut, camber under foot, and high torsional stiffness to grip firmer snow conditions and maintain edge hold at high speeds.
The new Alchemist construction address vibration chatter and overly stiff mid sections often found in carbon skis. The carbon layup is now vibration tuned to give the Yvette a more damp ride while maintaining pop. The shaping of the Alchemist skis gives a more even flex around the boot for a more precise and smoother feel throughout the turn shape. These changes keep all of the strengths of prior Yvette's, while improving the ride in variable snow conditions
Shrink it and pink it for women's ski? No shrinking here, the Yvette has the same construction and power as the men's Wailer 112. Pink it? Why not? The new Yvette 112 Alchemist features an even greater sweet spot geared for optimal high-speed and crud performance in the same pink wrapper.

The women's Yvette Alchemist 112 touring ski is the best, lightest, and most fun powder ski I have owned. I have used this in the backcountry heli and cat skiing, and in resorts off-piste. It floats in all depths of powder (boot high to thigh high), from super light champagne pow to dense pow. The ski is quick turning, skis easily through the chopped snow and is stable. It also handles well on groomers, but my primary use of this ski is for off piste. I feel this ski handles great in all snow conditions and I have no complaints. For binding I have the Salomon S/Lab Shift. Light set up for my uses. I am 5', 112 lb. and ski the 168 cm ski. I mounted the bindings back a couple cm from center. So happy DPS makes a ski that is wide under foot for us women who love to have fun in the powder.
