Dynafit Hokkaido Backcountry Ski

Description

Named after the island just north of Japan that receives an average of 600 inches annually, the Dynafit Hokkaido is for hard charging on deep days that you dream about year round and remember for years to come. The Hokkaido is engineered with what Dynafit calls their Double Elipse Rocker which basically means this is a full reverse camber ski designed for ultimate floatation in powder. Along with the Double Elipse Rocker the Hokkaido comes in a 116 underfoot. This is paired with full vertical sidewalls so you can hold an edge on steep terrain and yet still have easy turn initiation due to its camber profile. Dynafit moved away from the double turn radius in the Hokkaido and instead put a single long turn radius in the ski for big arcs through fresh snow. Don’t worry Dynfit kept to their roots in some ways with this ski, laying up Carbon fiber in the tip to keep the weight down and minimize chatter at high speed. A big mountain, freeride powder ski built by the guys that know ski touring better than anyone else, the Hokkaido is a quiver ski you’ll be psyched to grab every time you head out to for untracked snow.
