The same perfected shape as the DNA, with a more skiable and durable construction. We have used this as a demo/rental race ski for years and have seen it hold strong while others failed. The aluminum tip and tail not only provide a solid skin attachment, but protect the ski from the delirious abuse from the race. Tip to tail edges prevent wear and weak points. Pin tail gets them into the ski carry loop easier or allows the skis to be jammed in the snow easier for putting on skins.
The PDG borrows some shaping and construction techniques from Dynafit's more down hill oriented skis. 3D flex tip provides some forgiveness in all-too-often dicey race day conditions. With 3D tech shaping, Dynafit removes unnecessary material where they can and keeps the core thicker where it matters for better skiing performance.
Furthermore, in my opinion as an aggressive skier and a hack racer, it is the best skiing race ski out there. Some of our staff would use the PDG as a training ski and crush it on race day in the DNA. Either way, at just under 800 grams, this ski has a place in all racer's quivers.
