The Kastle FX 85 Alpine Touring ski is an all mountain machine geared toward on piste ripping and off piste exploration. This ski packs all sorts of punches, it has a full silver fur woodcore and sandwich construction making this a strong, but light ski. It lacks the titanal layers that are in the FX85 HP decreasing weight and making the ski softer and more forgiving. It has low camber for added floatation and a dual rise hook free shovel giving it inertia which limits the amount of energy needed to initiate turning and its hook free tail and tip allow for smooth release out of turns. What this means for a rider is that this ski can help you take your all mountain skiing to the next level, they are narrow enough to be nimble, but sturdy enough to tear through crud, and easy enough to turn to make your way through the bumps like a bat out of hell. If the snow is getting punchy, these skis will punch right back.
- Glass and wood core construction make this a forgiving and stable ski
- Hollow tech in the tip and tail reducing swing weight and unwanted vibration
- All mountain rocker for easy turn initiation and versatility
