Check out the upgraded straps and new colors for the 2015-16 Women's Prime.
You ride with the guys, but you do it your way and have your own needs. Karakoram makes that easier and smoother, with the first women‚s-specific splitboard binding. It‚s based on their PrimeSL, but they cut an inch off the top of the airflow highback, so it‚s not taller than your boots. The heel cup and frame are sized for a women‚s foot, so you don‚t have to compensate for a pivot point way in front of your toe. They kept the binding light, efficient and responsive with the same features found on their guys‚ bindings. In walk mode, the binding moves back 8 degrees past vertical for long strides; the sleeved axles create a stiff, smooth pivot; the Flip-speed risers adjust to two climbing heights with your pole basket; and offset cradles help to keep snow clear on entry. Switching to ride mode is fast; with no removable parts, there‚s nothing to drop and lose in the snow. In ride mode, the open binding chassis flexes with the board, the bindings allow set-and-forget forward lean up to 22 degrees, and the four attachment points lock both sides of your board together. Other features: Stance angles between 30 and -30 degrees, 0.5 inch stance adjustments, CNC machined parts, on-the-fly heel lockdown with a release value approximating DIN 6. Karakoram splitboard clips required; not compatible with Voile hooks.
