The Salomon MTN Lab is a stiff freeride touring boot desiged to rip on the down while still being light enough for big days in the backcountry. It is no surprise that a company with as rich of a history as Salomon could build this level of touring boot. The genius of the Lab is that it achieves it‚s lightweight by having only two buckles and a 50mm power strap, yet retains a 120 flex. In the arbitrary world of boot flex numbers, this is every bit a "120" plus.
The Lab uses Motion Flex Technology for smooth uphill travel and Surelock Ski/Walk mechanism along with 24mm riveted oversized pivots to offer the best in power transmission when locked out in ski mode. The fully thermo-moldable liner with two loops ensure that you‚ll have a comfortable fit and can easily slide the boot on and off. The MTN Lab is made from a Grilamid lower shell, Pebax cuff and a Carbon Fiber BC Spine.
The Lab's stiffness will compete with any boot this side of Lindsey Vonn's Heads, with a weight and articulation that will keep you on the skin track day in and day out.
