Why We Like the Plum Summit 12 Alpine Touring Binding

For the freeride ripper, The Plum Summit 12 binding offers the standard of construction that Plum is known for, and adds in a retractable brake and three riser heights. If you love touring on a more substantial setup, but still want performance and durability, the Summit is for you. The Summit has a fully adjustable DIN lateral and horizontal DIN of 5.5-12, a wide hole pattern, and durable aluminum and composite construction, all of which combine to create a binding that begs to be ripped.

Sometimes you might even find yourself rocking your touring gear for those inbounds laps. When you're ripping hot laps, you can't be bothered with a leash, so the Summit 12 comes with two brake widths, up to 100mm or up to 120mm. Both the toe and heel feature raised base plates, and the heel has up to 35mm of adjustment range.

When you're on a backcountry mission for those longer tours, you'll appreciate the brakes when you go to put your ski on in the middle of a tight couloir. And the integrated ski crampon attachment will save you from those nasty spring-sidehill skin tracks.
