Why We Like the DPS Dreamtime 2024 Pagoda Tour 112 Touring Ski

DPS looked to geography for its new special edition Pagoda Tour lineup, with the DPS Dreamtime 2024 Pagoda Tour 112 Touring Ski featuring graphics inspired by North America and Japan. With the addition of the Third Rail and Algal technologies, the Pagoda Tour 112 has enhanced strength, durability, dampening, and impact resistance over previous generations.

A blend of three materials in the lower core––ash, aerospace grade foam, and paulownia––add strength, pop, dampening characteristics, and exceptional energy transfer to the DPS Dreamtime 2024 Pagoda Tour 112 Touring Ski. Aerospace foam absorbs bumps and chop while keeping this exceptional ski feather light. The hybrid core also increases the ski's durability.

With ~45% rocker and a 15 meter turn radius, the DPS Dreamtime 2024 Pagoda Tour 112 Touring Ski provides surf-like turns on top of the snow, and its weight of 1510 grams (178) keeps the ski plenty fast and light on the skin track. Altogether, this ski is one of the most approachable touring skis on the market that brings all-time fun on every lap.

DPS Carbon Pagoda's

I've skied with them enough now to review. The skis are everything advertised : wide and light enough to provide floatation in powder. They are soft at the shovel entering a turn but firm though the mid ski to enable completing a great turn. They're strong and combined with my ATK Freeraider bindings and Scarpa F1 LT boots combine to perform way better than expected for such a light setup. Skinning up is a dream with the light gear that keeps the legs fresh throughout the day. The Scarpa F1 LT's Speed Lock/walk feature was excellent with very quick to changing from walk to ski. They're stiffness was surprisingly good for such a light boot so ski and turn control were no problem. A great setup all around.
