Updated for the 2023 season, the Movement Alp Tracks 85 is top of the line when it comes to ski mountaineering performance. The Movement Alp Tracks 85 is the pinnacle of fast and light touring. This ultralight touring ski is hand-built in Switzerland. It starts with an ultralight Karuba wood core, layered with an advanced carbon fiber weave, and sandwiched with some other secret ingredients before being capped with ABS sidewalls, Movement Race-Edges, and a P-TEX 5000 base. They are able to build such a ski that weighs an eye-watering 1055 grams in the 177cm length. This is a masterpiece of lightweight ski touring. The profile is fairly traditional with a slightly rockered shovel, camber throughout 90% of the ski, and a flat tail. This will allow for reliable, traditional turns in hard snow terrain. This is not a powder ski, it's also not a freeride ski. This ski is meant to efficiently and effortlessly travel through the mountains.
