Why We Like the Nitro Incline TLS Splitboard Boot

Splitboard specific boots need to be durable, light, and inspire confidence when looking down your line. Built with Nitro´s Vibram® Backcountry Outsole made of Icetrek™ and Arctic Grip Vibram® Compounds, Cut and Buff EVA Midsole, Molded Crampon Heel Cup, and E-foam® Toe Protection the Incline TLS is ready to go the distance, literally. Long gone are the days of hoping a resort-style boot can make it to the end of the season, or hold a crampon while making your way through no-fall terrain. The Hike'N'Ride construction allows for a more natural stride in the skin track, and the rugged sole, heel welt, and strengthened toe construction ensure a solid connection to crampons and grip when the summit requires some billy goatin'. Pair that with the precise fit of the Cloud-8 liner, Lace Liner Locker System, and a quick lace outer closure system for quick and customized fit you can be sure that your feet won't be the thing to stop you short of the top. Once you've reached the top of your objective, the multiple Power Tongue Stiffener options allow you to dial in the precise flex pattern you need for the day's objective.

Splitboarding has come a long way from DIY kits and cutting solid boards down the middle. Riders are going deeper, further, and higher than ever before. Your boots should evolve with you. Find out where your split can take you.

    NITRO Incline TLS

Strong, sturdy boot. Great tread and grip, Keeps my feet warm in single digits. The boot size fit correctly, and the TLS keeps the boot tight around your entire foot and can be adjusted relatively easy on longer days. The inserts for the tongue work well, but if you did decide to change them while touring it may be a little troublesome. boot packing longer distances hasn't brought up any hot spots or pressure points this far. Being a touring boot it is a little heavier but its manageable. I'm nervous about popping one of the quick laces but the boot does have loops designed into them so carrying a spare pair of laces wouldn't be a bad idea. Overall the boot is very comfortable and seems to be built to last.
