For 2017 the ever-popular Solution has a core upgrade with some added Paulownia to reduce the weight even further. The new construction method here is known as "Bridge tech", used to thicken the core under the Karakoram ultraclip allowing us to have an insert instead of the t nut backing that exists in almost every other board. This obviously will improve the glide and tuning capabilities not having a rivet pass through the board and putting extra holes and hardware into your precious base.
When you‚re shopping for a splitboard, you want a board that‚s proven. After all, you don‚t drop money like you drop pillows. And the Solution is proven: the same shape as Jones‚ solid Flagship and tested on line after line by the Jones crew while filming their iconic ‚“Further‚ and ‚“Deeper‚ movies. A blunt nose floats the board easily; directional rocker (tip slightly more rockered than tail) smooths out crusts and abrupt transitions; a traditional camber underfoot helps you hold an edge in harder snow. Jones rates this board 8/10 on their stiffness scale. For 2015, they‚ve dropped 300g from the weight and added 166 to the line. A splitboard with the performance of a solid - that‚s the Jones Solution.
